I’ve heard it said that it’s not the destination that matters, it’s the journey.

Personally, I don’t buy into that too much. I’m all about the destinations. After all, how much can you romanticize airports and long-haul flights and being lost in the dark in a place as unfamiliar to you as pressurized canned cheese is to the French?

My goal here is to share some of my destinations with you – and occasionally, a journey or two.

Who am I?

My name is Autumn. Here’s a picture, just in case you’re a visual person.

I grew up in Tennessee, but headed south to Atlanta for university. I then moved to France to eat meaningfully study both the French language and business, and learned that my high in life wasn’t drugs or loose women or extreme couponing, but travel. Exactly a year and a day after I returned from France, I moved to South Korea to teach English.

I knew after a few months that teaching was something I wanted to pursue further, so after three amazing years in Korea I packed up everything I owned into a couple of suitcases (okay, and some boxes) and relocated to the Canary Islands. Now, I’m teaching and studying to be a teacher (meta), and keeping up with everything and everybody online.
